Forecasting
Roll up your pipeline by category, set quotas, track accuracy, and analyze win-rate cohorts and velocity.
Pact's forecast lives at /sales/forecast and pulls your pipeline into a single view that rolls up from rep to team to org. It is organized into tabs: Overview, Commit, Quota & comp, Accuracy, Win-rate cohorts, and Velocity.
Category rollup
Deals roll up by forecast category — commit, best case, and pipeline, plus closed and omitted — from rep to team to org. A category Pact doesn't recognize defaults to pipeline, so nothing falls out of the rollup.
Alongside the rollup, coverage analysis answers the question "do we have enough pipeline to hit plan?" and surfaces AI-suggested next-best actions to close the gap.
Commit override
A rep submits a commit number for the period. A manager can override that number independently and attach a comment explaining why. Both the rep's submission and the manager's override are stored, so the history of the call is preserved.
Accuracy
The Accuracy tab scores predicted versus actual. You can:
- capture daily snapshots of the forecast
- backfill actuals as deals close
- score predicted-vs-actual per rep
This turns "we always sandbag" or "we always miss" from a hunch into a measured number per rep.
Quota
Set a target per rep per period, with a currency and an optional commission rate. Attainment is computed live from closed-won deals, and pacing compares attainment to how far through the period you are.
Quotas are per-rep
Quotas are set per rep. Team and org numbers come from the rollup — there is no separate team-level quota object.
Commission
Commission is a single flat rate applied to closed-won revenue — a simple estimate tied to quota attainment.
Commission is an estimate, not a payout system
There are no tiers, no accelerators, and no payout statements. Use it as a directional estimate, not as system of record for compensation payouts.
Cohorts, velocity, and settings
The Win-rate cohorts and Velocity tabs let you analyze how groups of deals convert and how fast they move through the pipeline. Stretch goals and forecast settings are configurable to match how your team plans.
